The Goddess Sisterhood Circle~ on Zoom

"If there is a future, it will wear a crown of feminine design. "
Aurobindo Ghose

"To look at another woman with inspiration rather than the green eyes of envy.
To love another woman as a sister, rather than seeing them as the enemy.
To remember we each hold a love so vast and powerful it could heal the World,
To realise within our femininity is a strength that can moves mountains,
That can either heal or crush another’s soul,
To take our responsibility as the wardens of Mother Earth as a privilege, rather than a burden.
To embrace and engage with the unspoken within and without.
To heal our wounds consciously for ourselves, our ancestors, future generations and one another.
To allow the feelings to flow through,
To be acknowledged and let go.
To observe,
To speak from the heart,
To accept our vulnerabilities as strength,
Sister I see you as you speak your truth,
Sister I honour you as you claim who you are,
Sister I hold you as you rise to who you are destined to be.'

Goddess Sisterhood Circle~
Goddess Ganga

Saturday March 20th at 9-10:30AM MT

Each circle we will dive deeper into understanding the Goddess and how her ancient stories and myths
give us hope and strength in modern times.

This is not a yoga class, but a joining of sisters in circle of support and co creation.
We will ground, connect, dance and share.

“Ganga’s themes are cleansing, health and mercy. Her symbols are water and yellow colored items.
As the Hindu Goddess of the river Ganges, Ganga represents purification, wellness and benevolence in the new year. Legend has it Ganga came to earth upon hearing the cries of people who were dying from drought. Shiva divided Ganga into seven streams so she would flood the earth upon her arrival. Part of this stream remained in the heavens as the Milky Way, and the rest flows through India as the river Ganges, where the Goddess lives. Art depicts Ganga as beautiful, controlling the makara (a sea monster on which she stands), with water flowing all around her.

While I am facilitating this event, I'm looking forward to us joining with the gifts we have to offer one another as a group.
Now is the time for us to take our seat, with our collective energy and feminine strength we can impact the world we live in.

It's time to gather together in the sanctuary of our homes and call in the divine feminine. We need some global healing and the feminine is the way toward a world with more balance. We need the feminine and the masculine to combine collectively. In ancient times when we were more in tune with this balance, life was more harmonious. What we need is harmony.
Let's gather and offer our strengths to one another, focus on community and share our riches about how we can cope and possibly even thrive in and through these times. We will have some open discussion and break it up with a dance session.
Create a comfortable space to sit in with space to get up and dance.

Wear comfortable beautiful clothing. You are welcome to dress up for your sisters and yourself, or come in your pajamas!

Goddess Sisterhood Circle~Durga Ma
October 24, 9-10:30am MST

Picture

There is so much to know and learn about Ma Durga, the great protectress. This circle is falling at an auspicious time, during Navatri, a celebration of Durga Ma that has continued for many centuries If you are not familiar with Durga, it's time to embrace the many gifts getting to know her offer us as contemporary women.

This is not a yoga class, at least not an asana session, but a joining of sisters in circle of support. We will ground, visualize, connect, move, write and share.

The symbol of the circle itself has been throughout time a sacred space holder, one of protection. The circle even represents the psychic whole or enlightenment. So even as we are spread out virtually we create a sacred circle to hold space for each other. A container of confidentiality in our shared sisterhood.

Let's offer our collective strengths to one another, focus on community and share our riches about how we can cope and thrive in and through these times. We will have some open discussion and break it up with a beautiful dance session.

Create a comfortable space to sit in with space to get up dance.
Wear comfortable, or beautiful clothing. You are welcome to decorate for your sisters and yourself, or come in your pajamas! The beauty of being at home. What to bring: Bring sage or incense and a small candle and any sacred objects to help you clear your home space. Something to write on. Nothing is required.            Awaken the Sleeping Goddess.

Join me in manifesting and embracing your divine and feminine beauty
Through the ancient arts of belly dance and yoga.

Inside each of us is a radiant and beautiful woman. Culture shames us from fully expressing our feminine beauty, from embodying our deepest passions, from celebrating the sensuality of being alive in a female body. Women of all ages are full of vitality and grace that comes to life in belly dance. Re emerge your divine feminine. Ground yourself with this powerful dance. Find your expression through exploring movement, your chakras and the yoga.

Belly dance has long been a healing force for women. I’ve watched women blossom as they express themselves in this dance. I’m reminded of a time that over a few weeks I saw a noticeable shift in the placement of a dancers shoulder, a lift in her heart, as she found appreciation for her own body, and an opening of spirit, through belly dance. This dance is transformative on many levels, not just the physical. Imagine what it feels like to shed away self doubt. We are not bound to our self perception; we can change it and shift to a more loving and fulfilling view.

For thousands of years, women have been celebrating the joy and art of belly dance. There is a reason that this ancient wisdom has re emerged powerfully in our time. It awakens the sleeping Goddess. We all hold her in our heart, in our womb space. It’s time to allow her to come out and dance.

Christine has been teaching Belly Dance for 20 years. She has performed and studied hip hop, jazz, modern dance and yoga. She integrates all of these into her belly dancing. She in an RYT 200, a certified Yoga Therapist  and has been teaching yoga for 10 years to veterans, inmates and disabled people. Her passion is to simply assist in unfolding what is already there in each of us. Yoga, breath and dance are truly healing.
