"When I was learning and started dancing with you everything felt so hard, but you made me feel safe, loved and at ease with my growth in the dance."

Last week I had the honor of attending a yoga therapy session with Christine Moore, Certified Yoga Therapist of Palisade, Colorado. Yoga therapy involves holding therapeutic poses in a meditative state to stimulate a mind/body/spirit balance. It’s a trip. As I lay in a gut-supportive pose on my bolster, I felt my energy arch out like tree roots sinking into the earth. The more I relaxed and let my energy burrow, the more I could perceive a life force–a hum–coming from the earth.
Intrigued, I didn’t go straight home after my session, but meandered my way along the Palisade Rim trail, hoping the earth could tell me more about this hum. I lay down on a rock in one of the poses Christine showed me and hoped my energy would root into the ground, like it had thirty minutes earlier. I was not disappointed. Like lightning in slow motion, my energy forked into the earth, connecting, slurping. The life force seemed louder–or maybe my spiritual ears were more attuned–and I felt a steady, ancient, even timeless pulse.

Your platform is so empowering! I really needed that time to connect to other women, because I have been going through "hermit" mode. What you are doing is just awesome! I am inspired by you and feel honored to be apart of your circle. Ahéhéé! Thank You!

Christine’s Goddess Sisterhood Circles offer women abundant opportunities for connection and growth. As we learn about the goddesses and how they can help us connect to our inner feminine energies, we grow as women and humans, better able to understand the world and live in it more fully. These Circles are sacred spaces, holding us up while we support each other. We learn, dance, write, explore, share and inspire. The knowledge I’ve gained about the goddesses and the connections I’ve made with the women in these circles have so enriched my life. Christine is a master in facilitating this ancient wisdom and these present-day connections!

I have been enjoying yoga classes off and on ever since I found the benefits and fun in them. I have been surprised at how much more flexible and alert I feel after Christine’s yoga class. She is a gifted teacher and offers so much depth beyond any teacher I have experienced. At age 91 I know how crucial it is to keep moving, and my mood and attitude improve under Christine’s guidance also, even at the late hour here. I even tried leading classes at times in my life, but it is a greater challenge to good results than I’d realized. Thank you, Christine, for all the time you put into making our experience so very special!

A year ago I would not have been brave enough to be here, performing in front of an audience. I stepped way out of my comfort zone and did something I’ve wanted to do for so long! I love dance and have practiced on my own for quite some time, so to be apart of a community of beautiful women and come together to create a piece of art was so amazing. Shout out to the fearless leader and beautiful teacher, I look forward to k forward to many more of these moments!

To catch the butterflies of your dreams you have to come out of your comfort zone, out of your fear zone".
"An opportunity came about to belly dance with a small group at our local community held event, And, I said Yes!
his has been a long held desire of mine that I had let the illusion of fear and judgment hold me back from for many years.
Mark Twain once said, "The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself." He couldn't be more right. If you finally accept yourself and your vulnerabilities your will be much more liberating!

If you've ever heard me emcee an event where Christine Moore is performing, I will ALWAYS maintain that she is such a LOVELY dancer. But it's more than that. She's a lovely human being. Seriously, people. Christine is above all else, a healer. I, personally, have learned from Christine along with my whole family. Please look into attending her class. Do it for yourself. You deserve it.

Christine Moore is a wonderful dancer, choreographer and teacher. She was my first belly dance teacher and I fell in love with the beautiful art form and learned how to express it under her tutelage. I was part of her Figure 8's troupe for 6 years and still love dancing with Christine and the troupe when I get the chance. Christine's choreographies are fun and varied- she brings in a rich background of different dance styles.
Christine is also a compassionate, fun, curious and intelligent woman and the space she creates within her classes is special, and the other dancers that join in and stay tend to be special, too.

I've been dancing and doing yoga with Christine since 2005, and she's my favorite teacher. When I started belly dancing, I was kind of gawky and uncomfortable, and wanted to do something to improve my gracefulness and acceptance of my body. Christine was very welcoming and encouraging; she's a beautiful dancer, and is able to bring out the beauty and individuality of the people she teaches. Her yoga classes are refreshingly different from the average Boulder fitness-yoga scene; people of all body types and levels of experience can feel comfortable and benefit!
